🚀 Getting Started

Create Your Account
When you first launch ZZPass for Mac, you'll be guided through creating a secure account. Choose a strong primary password - this is the only password you'll need to remember. We recommend using a passphrase with at least 12 characters.

Sync from iOS
If you already use ZZPass on iPhone or iPad, simply sign in with your existing account and your passwords will sync automatically via iCloud.

Your Data is Private
ZZPass uses end-to-end encryption, meaning your passwords are encrypted on your device before syncing. Even we can't read your data - only you have the key.

🔐 Essential Setup

1. Enable iCloud Sync
Go to Settings → Account → Configure iCloud to sync your passwords across all your Apple devices. Your encrypted vault will seamlessly stay in sync with your iPhone and iPad.

2. Configure AutoFill for Safari
Enable ZZPass AutoFill to automatically fill passwords in Safari:
• Open System Settings
• Go to "General"
• Go to "Autofill & Passwords"
• Enable "AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys"
• Select "ZZPass"

3. Enable Touch ID
Unlock ZZPass quickly and securely with Touch ID (if your Mac supports it). This is configured automatically during setup.

Create strong, unique passwords for every account. ZZPass generates cryptographically secure passwords up to 100 characters long.

Adding a Password

1. Click the + button in the toolbar or press ⌘N
2. Enter the website, username, and password
3. Use the Generate button to create a strong password
4. Click Save or press ⌘S

Tip: You can also save passwords directly from Safari using AutoFill when creating new accounts.

Using AutoFill in Safari

1. Navigate to a website with a login form
2. Click in the username or password field
3. Look for the key icon or AutoFill suggestion
4. Authenticate with Touch ID or password
5. Select your login from the list

Keyboard Shortcut: Press ⌥⌘\ to quickly open AutoFill

Organizing Your Vault

Search: Press ⌘F to quickly find any password or note by name, username, or website.

Sort: Click column headers to sort by name, username, or date modified.

Edit & Delete: Right-click on any item or use keyboard shortcuts:
• Edit: ⌘E
• Delete: ⌘⌫

Navigation:

📋 Quick Copy

Quickly copy passwords and other information:

Copy Password: ⌘C (when password field is selected)
Copy Username: ⌥⌘C
Copy Website: ⇧⌘C

Copied passwords are automatically cleared from clipboard after 60 seconds for security.

🖨️ Print & Export

Print Passwords:
File → Print (⌘P) to create a physical backup of your passwords.

Export Data:
File → Export to save your vault as encrypted backup or CSV format.

🔒 End-to-End Encryption

Your passwords are encrypted using AES-256 encryption before they ever leave your Mac. Your primary password is never sent to our servers, and we have no way to decrypt your data.

🛡️ Phishing Protection

ZZPass AutoFill helps protect you from phishing attacks by only offering to fill passwords on legitimate websites. If you're on a fake site, ZZPass won't suggest your credentials.

Import Passwords

Switching from another password manager? Import your passwords easily:
1. File → Import
2. Select your previous password manager
3. Choose the exported file
4. Review and import

Supported formats: 1Password, LastPass, Bitwarden, Dashlane, Chrome, Safari, and more.

Menu Bar Access

Enable the menu bar icon for quick access to ZZPass:
1. Settings → General
2. Enable "Show menu bar icon"

From the menu bar, you can:
• Quickly search passwords
• Copy credentials
• Lock ZZPass
• Access settings

Multi-Window Support

ZZPass supports multiple windows on macOS:
• File → New Window (⌘T)
• Drag tabs to create new windows
• Use Mission Control to organize windows

Perfect for managing passwords on multiple monitors or using Split View.

AutoFill Not Working in Safari?

1. Verify ZZPass is enabled in System Settings → General → Autofill & Passwords
2. Check Autofill Passwords and Passkeys
3. Restart Safari
4. Make sure the password exists in your vault

Sync Issues with iCloud?

1. Check iCloud is enabled: Settings → Account → iCloud → See All → ZZPass
2. Verify you're signed into iCloud on all devices
